The Butterfly Massager is a TENS mini electrical stimulation massager that may help relieve pain, discomfort and fatigue. It exercises and strengthens the muscles as well as relieves musculoskeletal pain. It may be used in exercising inactive muscles as well as strengthening and toning healthy muscles. It streamlines the muscles, making them leaner and stronger.

The exact mechanism of electrical stimulation’s beneficial effect remains controversial. Electrical stimulation may directly block transmission of pain signals along nerves. Also electrical stimulation has been shown to promote the release of endorphins, the natural painkillers produced by our bodies.

Contraindications To Electrical Stimulation --- Electrical Stimulation (ES) devices should be used with caution where the cause of the pain has not been established -- ES stimulation is of no curative value. That is, ES does not do anything to the underlying cause of the pain -- ES should be kept out of the reach of children -- ES over the carotid sinus, i.e. anywhere over the front of the neck, may be hazardous -- The safety of ES during pregnancy has not been established -- Persons with pacemakers should not use ES devices
